Collect and Gather is the heart and soul of Shovel + Spade. When I’m not working you can find beachcombing the shores of Lake Michigan. This blog combines my love for our planet and the treasures I happen upon when I clean it. Tumblr

One for Ewe 🩷 #BVGN was SUCH a blast! 🚀🎨🎶 We all owe @betheatonpottery a huge thanks for throwing such a fun gather for Bay View Gallery Night! Both bands were super good & I’m feeling extra grateful for all Woolly love right in my own neighborhood!! It was cool to share my past work and have so many recognize the similarities and overlap in my styles across two different mediums. 🙂 #BVGN is just a few days away & all of Bay View is gearing up with festivities!! We’ll be setup on E. Potter St. just outside of @betheatonpottery & @cozy_collective_mke as the street will be closed down to host artist, vendors & music all night! Find me there with a bunch of drinks, makers & local artists 5-10pm! I’ll be dusting off some past work & have a bunch of unique one of a kind pieces for you to take home. 🪴🫙🍺🎶🎨 @bvgn.mke #bayview #milwaukee Stocked every last Woolly I had for Ewe at @cozy_collective_mke so you can Go & Grab ‘em before your long holiday weekend, cause geeze I think we’re all ready for it to get warm here!!! 🐑⛺️🍻🌲🪵🔥 NEW little plant friends have Woolly been showing up BIG this spring at all my local events. It’s been so fun to see all the love and the response for an idea I’ve had brewing for a bit. The small problem seems to be trouble picking out which one Ewe love the most! 🐑🪴🩵 Sparky has really been pulling his weight this spring while I wait out Fall processing times, and by golly he’s just been the talk of the town!! I’ve been working with Sparky for sometime now and it’s been fun to experiment with all these new fun spring styles. He’s been such a delight to share with Ewe all, as he has such a unique fleece that’s both lofty and spongy in feel. Making a great, low-maintenance felt, that insulates Woolly well! Perfect for hot days that turn into chilly nights. Swipe through and see all the fun limited designs you can now get in the shop. Each one of a kind and available in your beverage style of choice! 😎🐏🍺 #woollycold Gearing up for a double header this weekend with back to back chances to shop Woollys for MOM! 💐 Woolly EXCITING NEWS!! 📣 Leaning into a new way to gather & share my goods with my local community by accepting an invitation to join the @cozy_collective_mke - It’s truly just the coziest & sweetest space, right in my neighborhood, with a great mix of local offerings from both artists and makers. Chicago!! @saucedmarket is coming in HOT next weekend!!🔥 …and I mean HOT! Shop for Mom handcrafted goods & vintage wares at this two day Night Market at @igniteglass 🔥

My work combines the ancient medium of felting with contemporary form and modern color, by seamlessly encasing a variety of glassware and beverage items with a one of a kind, insulating Woolly sleeve. Each item is individually hand-formed, from local, ethically sourced wool. The movement and fluidity of working in the round allows for colors to dance and weave together creating organic contrasting patterns on every piece.
